Agenda of ratifications of the constitution for Europe

EUROPEAN UNION.

European parliament has approved new constitution with 500 votes to favour, 137 contrary and 40 abstained, and it has invited governments of member countries to ratify it as soon as possible. France and Netherlands have rejected by referendum. UK has stopped process of ratification by referendum, Poland has delayed sine die; Denmark, Portugal, Sweden, Finland, Ireland and Czech Republic had delayed ratification. Spain approved by referendum and by Parliament. Luxembourg approved by referendum. Parliaments of Lithuania, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, Greece, Austria, Slovakian Republic, Germany, Latvia and Cyprus have already approved text. Other five countries want to use a popular referendum (only for Denmark and Ireland referendum is mandatory).

Austria	Parlamentarian	May 25th 2005 Bundesrat approved (59 yes, 3 no). On May 11th 2005 Nationalrat, lower Chamber of Parliament, approved too (182 yes, 1 no).
Belgium	Parlamentarian	June 2005 Regional Parliaments have to vote. On May 19th Federal Parliament approved (118 yes, 18 no, 1 abstained). On April Senate approved too.
Cyprus	Parlamentarian	June 30th 2005 Parliament approved.
Czech Republic	Advisory referendum and parlamentarian	Delayed (it was early scheduled on June 2006)
Denmark	Binding referendum	Delayed (it was early scheduled on September 27th 2005)
Estonia	Parlamentarian	Summer 2005
Finland	Parlamentarian	Delayed (it was early scheduled between end of 2005 and beginning of 2006)
France	Advisory referendum and parlamentarian	May 29th 2005 Referendum has rejected (54.67% no, 69.74% turnout to vote).
Germany	Parlamentarian	May 27th 2005 Bundesrat (upper house of the regions) approved with 66 yes (15 regions) and 3 abstained. On May 12th 2005 Bundestag approved too (569 yes, 23 no, 2 abstained).
Greece	Parlamentarian	April 19th 2005 Greek Parliament approved (268 votes in favour, 17 against, 15 abstained)
Hungary	Parlamentarian	December 20th 2004 Hungarian Parliament approved (322 yes on 385).
Ireland	Binding referendum	Delayed (it was early scheduled on beginning of 2006)
Italy	Parlamentarian	April 6th 2005 The Italian Senate approved the text for 217 votes in favor and 16 against. On January 25th Chamber of Deputies approved too (436 votes in favour, 28 contrary and 5 abstained).
Latvia	Parlamentarian	June 2nd 2005 Parliament approved (71 votes in favour, 5 contrary and 6 abstained).
Lithuania	Parlamentarian	November 11th 2004 Approved (in favour more than 92%, 84 votes in favor, 4 against and 3 abstained)
Luxembourg	Advisory referendum; vote in Parliament will follow	July 10th 2005 Referendum approved (56.52% yes, 43.48% no)
Malta	Parlamentarian	July 2005
Netherlands	Parliamentarian with advisory referendum, it is the first time that it uses a referendum	June 1st 2005 Referendum has rejected (61.6% no, 62.8% turnout to vote).
Poland	Advisory referendum probably on the same day of presidential poll and parlamentarian	June 21st Referendum is delayed sine die (it was early scheduled on October 2005)
Portugal	Advisory referendum and parlamentarian	Delayed (it was early scheduled on October 2005)
Slovakian Republic	Parlamentarian	May 11th 2005 Parliament approved (116 votes in favour, 27 contrary, 4 abstained)
Slovenia	Parlamentarian	February 1st 2005 Slovenian Parliament approved constitution with a great majority: 79 votes in favour on 83.
Spain	Advisory referendum and parlamentarian	May 18th 2005 Upper Chamber approved (225 yes, 6 no, 1 abstained). On April 28th 2005 Lower Chamber approved too (311 yes, 19 no, 20 abstained). On February 20th 2005 Referendum won for yes (76,73% yes, 17,24% no, 42.43% turnout to vote).
Sweden	Parlamentarian	Delayed (it was early scheduled on December 2005)
United Kingdom	Process of ratification by referendum is stopped	June 4th 2005 Process of ratification by referendum is stopped.
